In the New Children's Hospital X-ray unit, we perform examinations for children. We perform plain X-ray examinations without an appointment and other imaging examinations with an appointment. - Waiting times can be quite long between 8:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. We recommend coming at other times, if possible. - We perform examinations for children aged 0–15 years who are customers of the HUS area health centers and hospitals. - Please note that emergency patients requiring urgent care will be served first, so other patients may need to wait. ## We perform these examinations without an appointment --- - Bone X-ray - Chest X-ray - X-ray of long bones ## We perform these examinations with an appointment --- - Measurement of lower limb length discrepancy - Lower limb mechanical axis measurement - Scoliosis X-ray - Ultrasound examinations You will be given an appointment for the examination and you will be informed of the appointment by letter. ## Arrival instructions --- - Our X-ray unit is located at the New Children's Hospital. - [The New Children's Hospital laboratory](https://www.hus.fi/en/patient/hospitals-and-other-units/new-childrens-hospital/new-childrens-hospital-laboratory) is located in the same building.
