## Information on payment commitments for Keusote customers

At the beginning of 2022, the Central Uusimaa Joint Municipal Authority’s (Keusote) payment commitment processing will be transferred to the Assistive Equipment Center. These include, for example, treatment socks, breast prostheses, individual support aids, support insoles, customized footwear, wigs, and glasses that are acquired with a payment commitment. Below you will find information about payment commitments.

### How can I get a payment commitment for assistive equipment?

---

You can contact Keusote’s payment commitments unit by phone or email. For the majority of assistive equipment, you need a recommendation from a healthcare professional on the need for an assistive device.

### How can I acquire compression socks?

---

If you have been using compression socks and you have a physician’s recommendation for them, you can contact Keusote’s payment commitments unit directly. If you have not previously had compression socks in use, you will need a physician’s recommendation for them.

### How can I get a compression sleeve or a breast prosthesis?

---

If you have had breast cancer, you do not need a new recommendation for these aids. You can contact Keusote’s payment commitments unit directly for renewing your assistive equipment.

### How can I get support insoles or customized footwear?

---

For support insoles and footwear, you need a recommendation from a healthcare professional. If you already have such a recommendation, you can contact Keusote’s payment commitments unit directly.

### My child is under the age of 8 and has previously received glasses. Can we obtain glasses in the future?

---

A child under the age of 8 may be granted glasses on the basis of a recommendation from an ophthalmologist. As a rule, ophthalmologists mail the recommendations directly to Keusote’s payment commitments unit.

### Can I do business with the same service provider as before?

---

We use HUS framework agreements, so contract suppliers are used for tendered products. Information about the contract supplier is provided with the payment commitment.

### Can I change a service provider used with a payment commitment?

---

If the assistive equipment has been put out to tender, you cannot switch service providers.
