Show all keywords - [asthma](< /en/search?q=asthma >) At the Asthma and Allergy Diagnostics Unit, we conduct skin tests to investigate immediate and delayed hypersensitivity. We have the most extensive array of testing allergens in Finland. We use **skin prick and injection tests** to examine **immediate allergic reactions**. These tests are used to - examine respiratory symptoms - drug allergies - asthma - conjunctivitis and - food allergies. The test lasts from 30 minutes to 3 hours. We use prick tests, and injections inside and under the skin. **Epicutaneous test** is used to examine **delayed contact allergy**. This test is used especially when examining rashes. The test substances will be placed in aluminium chambers and attached to the skin on the back for two days.
