Instructions for visiting pediatric units

To prevent the spread of the coronavirus, patients, and their escorts over the age of 12 must wear a face mask in the children’s units.  Please wear a mask before you enter the premises. If you do not have a mask, please ask the staff for one.

Do not visit if you are ill.

At the emergency department, a child patient may only have one adult with them.

We recommend that only one adult accompany a child to booked appointments.

Children in inpatient care may generally have only one parent with them at a time. Short visits with two immediate family members at a time are allowed, but the visits must be arranged with the staff. One guardian may stay the night in the child’s room.

Parents of patients under the age of 3 months may visit the child freely.

Generally, the patients’ siblings are not allowed to visit.
