The Department of Gastroenterology of the Helsinki University Central Hospital is the central provider of specialist care in cases such as unspecific intestinal bleeding, demanding liver disease diagnostics and follow-up, evaluation and follow-up of liver transplant patients, treatment of viral hepatitis and diagnostics of GIconditions associated with the HIV infection.
