Breast cancer patients' access to care in the Breast Surgery Unit

As the first Finnish cancer hospital, the HUS Cancer Center publishes the average time for patients to gain access to treatment from the referral's arrival. 

The average time for patients to gain access to treatment each month will be published 1.5 months after the month has ended.

The table below lists the average times it takes for breast cancer patients to have their first appointments at the outpatient clinic and their average times to admittance to surgery after the HUCH Breast Surgery Unit has received the referral.

If the patient needs additional examinations before surgery, such as an MRI scan, examinations are almost always conducted before the patient's first appointment at the outpatient clinic.
