Social workers

Cancer changes a person’s everyday life, including managing at home, working capacity, finances, caring for children or other family, and personal relationships. Patients and their family members can discuss their situation with a social worker, who will be able to offer personalized advice and guidance on many of the problems and questions arising from the new life situation. The social worker can advise them on the variety of social benefits available to cancer patients. The primary nurse can make an appointment for the patient with a social worker.
