Cervical cancer screening organized by HUSLAB

The Finnish Primary Health Care Act decrees that municipalities shall organize screening to prevent cervical cancer for women aged 30 to 60 years every five years. Screening organized by HUSLAB covers women aged 25 to 65 years. An invitation to screening is sent based on birth year. The first invitation is sent during the year the woman turns 25, and every five years from that point on.

The following municipalities have given HUSLAB the mandate to arrange cervical cancer screening: Askola, Espoo, Hanko, Helsinki, Hyvinkää, Inkoo, Järvenpää, Karkkila, Kauniainen, Kerava, Kirkkonummi, Lapinjärvi, Lohja, Loviisa, Mäntsälä, Nurmijärvi, Pornainen, Porvoo, Raaseborg, Sipoo, Siuntio, Tuusula, Vantaa, Vihti. Residents of other municipalities can check their service provider’s contact information from their municipality's web pages or from health information services.
