Maternity Ward 52 treats pregnant patients, and mothers, infants and families after childbirth.
Pregnant patients are admitted to the ward due to various symptoms related to pregnancy, including high blood pressure, a risk of premature delivery, or bleeding. Sometimes the fetus needs close monitoring at the ward. Pregnant patients who need close monitoring may stay in the Family Nest Hotel but their monitoring will take place at ward 52.
Families will be guided in caring for the baby, breastfeeding and the mother’s recovery. The length of treatment is planned on individual basis. We also have outpatient clinic services.
The ward has both family rooms and shared rooms. Patients staying in a family room will be charged a double fee (since the spouse/support person will stay in the same room the entire treatment period).
The visiting hour is from 18:00 to 19:00 every day.
Visiting the ward during influenza and RSV season
Visiting the inpatient ward will be limited during the flu season to provide safety for our patients and prevent the spread of infections. Only two people are allowed to visit a patient at a time. Please ask the staff first if the baby’s siblings are allowed to visit. You are not allowed to visit the ward if you are suffering from an infectious disease. We recommend that patients mainly remain in their rooms at the ward during the flu season. The staff can give you further information about visiting. You are not allowed to visit the ward if you are suffering from an infectious disease.
Note! Due to the Coronavirus (Covid-19) epidemic visits are not allowed.
