In addition to healthy women in labor, the labor ward in Women’s Hospital is also responsible for difficult risk pregnancies and very premature deliveries in the HUS district. Planned Cesarean sections, late pregnancy appointments and inductions of labor are also performed at the ward.
Our Family Recovery Rooms enable skin-to-skin contact and keep the family together after a Cesarean section.

Note! Due to the Coronavirus (Covid-19) epidemic visits are not allowed. One support person for an obstetric patient is allowed to join.
If you are about to give birth and you have either a suspected or confirmed coronavirus infection, or symptoms of a respiratory infection, please call us t. 09 471 73488 before you arrive to the hospital. Suspected or confirmed coronavirus infections and other symptoms of family members or other close relationships should also be reported. During coronavirus epidemic, you can not come to the hospital without prior notice.
