In 2019 and 2020, various parts of the Women’s Hospital will be undergoing general renovations, and repairs to improve the indoor air.
The renovation areas have been limited so that they will not hinder traffic in the hospital. Instructions about possible alternative routes will be visible in each location.
The aim is to perform all noisy work outside office hours. Some noise and dust may still appear near the renovation sites despite protective walls and negative room pressure at the sites.
The staff will instruct and guide you if there are any changes in our operations due to the renovation work.
We apologize for any disturbances the renovations may cause.
Renovations in a nutshell:
A Wing
Renovations of individual rooms on floors 1, 4, 5 and 6. Renovations will be ready by September 2019.
B Wing
The entrance hall on the 2nd floor will be renovated and a cafeteria will be built in the same hall. The construction work does not limit traffic but it does cause occasional noise. The work on the entrance hall will end in December 2019.
C Wing
The C wing is not currently open for patients. On the 1st floor, restoration work for water damage will continue until November 2019. Floors 3 and 4 will undergo renovation, which will be ready in 2020.
D Wing
No current or planned renovation works taking place during 2019–2020.
L Wing
Restoration work for water damage and floor drying in individual rooms and adjacent hallways on floors 1–3. The hallway will be narrower at each restoration site but it will not limit traffic. The restoration will be ready by September 2019.
