The Cleft Palate and Craniofacial Centre (Husuke) at Töölö Hospital provides treatment cleft lip and palate patients from all over the Finland.
In Finland, approximately 120 children are born with cleft lip, cleft palate or a combined cleft lip and palate every year. In addition to the child's appearance, the disorder affects feeding, hearing and the development of speech and dentition.
In addition to cleft lip and palate patients, patients with structural abnormalities of the skull or other facial, maxillofacial or ear abnormalities are examined and treated at Husuke. The centre comprises a ward and an outpatient clinic.
