From Monday to Thursday 7:00–14:00 and on Fridays 7:00–11:00.

The Sleep Apnea Outpatient Clinicis open with appointments only
The Sleep Apnea Outpatient Clinicexamines and treats adult sleep apnea (patients from Helsinki).
When sleep apnea is suspected, the primary examinations should be performed in primary health care (health center or private sector), and if the patient is diagnosed with sleep apnea that requires treatment or further examinations are needed, a referral to the Sleep Research Outpatient Clinic is made. Please also see the clinical pathway for sleep apnea.
Most commonly, patients at our clinic have at least moderate sleep apnea and Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) treatment is considered for them. A challenging group of patients consists of patients with daytime sleepiness and patients who need special attention due to their profession.
As diagnostic examinations, we perform limited polysomnographies both in the hospital and at home, and also extensive polysomnographies both in the hospital and at home. These examinations are used to diagnose sleep-related problems such as interruptions in breathing a.k.a sleep apnea.
The sleep laboratory is located in the Meilahti Triangle Hospital’s Pulmonary Diseases Ward 6B.
