Examinations and procedures at the Peijas Cardiac Unit are performed from Monday to Friday.
The Meilahti unit offers emergency services around the clock.

The unit has one treatment room where the most common procedures are:

• coronary artery angiography
• coronary balloon angioplasty
• pacemaker implantation

If required, an echocardiography can be performed on patients staying at the inpatient ward or admitted for examinations. A significant proportion of treatments are implemented on an outpatient basis, but the unit also works in collaboration with Internal Medicine Ward S3 and the CCU.
