What should I bring to the hospital?

Please bring the following with you:

  • The child’s Kela card
  • The child health clinic card (neuvolakortti), or measurements from school health care
  • Any rare medicines the child has in use, and medicines requiring close contact when applied (e.g. eye drops and nasal sprays).
  • Additionally, you may bring a toy that is dear to the child, and the child’s personal hygiene items (e.g. toothbrush).

We recommend that you do not bring any valuables or large sums of money to the hospital. The hospital will not take responsibility for safekeeping of any valuables or money. Take good care of your important belongings such as your mobile phone and money. Like all other HUS hospitals, the New Children's Hospital is a smoke-free hospital. Bringing alcohol or other intoxicants into the hospital is forbidden.
