The ward performs video-EEG (electroencephalography) examinations that aim to determine if the seizures the child or adolescent is experiencing are epileptic and what type of epilepsy we may be dealing with. The video-EEG monitoring registers both the brain waves and video image of the patient. This examination method is often valuable when medical treatment of epilepsy is planned.
