Our ward examines and treats cardiac patients in need of demanding specialized care. Patients need a referral to be treated at our clinic. Patients can also be referred to us via an emergency clinic. All adults in Finland who are considered for a heart transplant or a ventricular assist device are referred to us for further examinations and planning.

You may receive treatment at our ward for coronary artery disease, arrhythmia, valvular or other structural heart defect, cardiomyopathy, or cardiac insufficiency. Our expert team will provide you with safe and high-quality care, the best possible help for your ailment, and resources to cope with your illness. We also support your self-care and coping at home.

Your care will continue in your regional specialized outpatient clinic, local health center, occupational health care, Heart and Lung Center’s outpatient clinic, or some other specialized outpatient clinic.
