Our clinic examines and treats patients in need of demanding care in cardiology, cardiac surgery, or thoracic surgery. Patients need a referral to be treated at our clinic.
Our multi-professional team aims to provide our patients with individual and high-quality care, which is planned according to the referral. At your appointment, you will meet with a physician and a nurse specialized in your illness.
Other cardiac examinations we perform include ultrasound of the heart, clinical exercise test , long-term ECG registration (Holter), and pacemaker monitoring. In addition to these, other outpatient examinations are performed as needed: ECG, laboratory and X-ray examinations, MRI and CT scans of the heart and blood vessels, and myocardial scintigraphy.
Common examinations performed on patients with pulmonary and esophageal issues include PET-CT, gastroscopy, manometry, pH measurement, and spirometry, among others.
Depending on the severity of your illness, you will be directed to further examinations or procedures. Your further care may also take place at a specialized outpatient clinic in your region, at your health center, or at another specialized outpatient clinic.

Prescription renewals
Taking your medication regularly according to the doctor’s orders is an integral part of your treatment. When you are about to run out of medication, make sure to renew your prescription well in advance. At our clinic, prescriptions are only renewed at appointments.
Contact your health center or pharmacy when you need to renew your prescription. In addition, you can also use the renewal service in My Kanta: http://www.kanta.fi/omakanta. You will receive an SMS when the prescription has been renewed.
Some medications require an appointment with a specialist before the prescription can be renewed. Ask your pharmacist well in advance if you need a doctor’s appointment for renewal.
