Above-ground parking
The parking fee is 2€ per hour for most areas and 4€ per hour for the drop-off points. The drop-off points also have a 2h time limit for parking.
Drop-off points are the parking lot in front of Haartman Hospital and the Meilahti Tower Hospital vehicle ramp.
The above-ground parking you can pay:
In advance at the ticket machine
- most of the machines takes only coins
- coins you can use are 2€, 1€, 50c, and 20c
With mobile phone apps
- EasyPark and ParkMan (see more at their websites)
- with the apps you can add parking time without walking back to the vehicle
Underground parking garages
In the parking garages, you need to pay for parking 24/7.
The price is 1€ for every 25 min, that is about 2.40€/h.
There are four separate parking garages:
P1 is located in the address Haartmaninkatu 4
- Reserved especially for customers, and persons with contract parking.
- Other buildings in the area need to be accessed from the outside
- Pedestrian exit is via the Biomedicum elevators
P2 is located in the address Stenbäckinkatu

- Parking is available for both staff and customers
- Connected to other hospital buildings via a tunnel, including
the elevator lobby of Meilahti Tower Hospital
- Due to the Bridge Hospital construction work, it is now more
difficult to enter the Comprehensive Cancer Center from the parking garage P2.
We recommend using the parking garage P1.
P3 is located in the address Zaidankatu 1
- Parking is available for both staff and customers
- The garage is connected to the other hospital buildings via a tunnel.
- PLEASE NOTE! The pedestrian entrance in front of the Comprehensive Cancer Center is not in use.
- PLEASE NOTE! Routes from the parking garage P3 have changed. The previous route to the building in front of the Comprehensive Cancer Center has been closed until the Bridge Hospital construction is complete.
- Due to the Bridge Hospital construction work, it is now more difficult to enter the Comprehensive Cancer Center from the parking garage P3. We recommend using the parking garage P1.
The parking garage for New Children’s
Hospital is in the address Stenbäckinkatu 9
- The parking spaces in the garage are intended for the families of patients in New Children's Hospital
- You can exchange your parking receipt for an exit ticket at the information desk either by showing the receipt from the self-registration kiosk or a certificate from the unit responsible for the child’s care
- Families of children with a long-term illness may receive a week-long parking permit. Please ask the unit responsible for your child's care for more information.
- The exit ticket can only be used in New Children's Hospital’s parking garage. Without the ticket, the parking fee is €2 for every 20-minute period.
The parking garages are
open for customers from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. every day of the week.
Paying in the garages
You get a ticket when entering the garage and pay at the machine before exiting (prior to driving to the gate).
You can pay either in cash or with a credit/debit card (most commonly used cards accepted). The payment machines take 50 cent, 1 euro and 2 euro coins, as well as 5, 10 and 20 euro notes. Change given. You can get a receipt at request.
After paying, you have 15 min to exit the garage.
The payment machines are located in the garages P2 and P3 at the exit roads, in P1 in the entrance level in Biomedicum elevator lobby.
