The general hospital psychiatric outpatient clinic operates on the premises of Hyvinkää Hospital and responds to the written consultation requests made by the somatic care unit. Its core tasks include assessments of psychiatric treatment need, medication and diagnosis as well as the arrangement of further treatment. Both the clinic and inpatient ward provide crisis treatment for psychological crises caused by somatic illnesses or injury and help in adjusting to the situation.
