In emergencies (severe shortness of breath, profuse bleeding from a large cut, or a seizure), call the emergency number 112.
Paramedics will assess the care need and take the patient to the appropriate care facility.

Opening hours:  The hospital’s emergency clinic is open 24 hours a day, while the joint emergency service is open on weekdays from 4 p.m. to 8 a.m. and 24 hours a day on weekends.  

The hospital’s emergency clinic treats children and adolescents aged 16 and under. Patients with referrals are admitted from Espoo, Kauniainen, Kirkkonummi, Lohja, Vihti, Karjalohja, Karkkila, Nummi-Pusula and Siuntio. Pediatric patients from Vantaa are directed to the pediatric emergency clinic at Jorvi Hospital and children requiring surgery to the Children’s Hospital.

The joint emergency service treats pediatric patients aged 16 and under from Espoo, Kauniainen, Vantaa and Helsinki. The primary treatment place in sudden illnesses and minor injuries is your local health center, and after 16:00 the Jorvi joint emergency service.
Pediatric patients arriving from the Kirkkonummi health centre’s emergency clinic between 8 pm and 8 am will be treated at the Jorvi joint emergency service unit.
Suspected fractures of child residents of Espoo are treated at the Jorvi Hospital emergency clinic. If you suspect a fracture, please call your own health centre during weekdays 8:00 am. - 16:00 pm. In the evenings and during weekends, you can call the number 116 117 to receive instructions on how to proceed.
