Jorvi Hospital is part of Helsinki University Hospital, and provides care for patients requiring surgical, psychiatric, pediatric, obstetric, pulmonary, neurology or internal medicine treatment. Jorvi Hospital comprises several specialist outpatient clinics and service functions that support examinations and care.

A joint emergency clinic combining the emergency services of the health centre and specialised medical care operates at Jorvi Hospital. Jorvi Hospital health centre emergency services are open outside office hours. During office hours (8.00 am to 4.00 pm), patients should contact the emergency clinic at their local health station.

Specialised medical care emergency services operate round the clock. Patients are admitted upon referral. When a patient arrives in an ambulance, a referral is not required. A referral is not required for admittance to an emergency clinic at a health centre.
