LEIKO Unit patients arrive at the hospital in the morning of the operation and are transferred directly into the operating room. Following monitoring in the recovery room after the operation, patients are transferred to the inpatient ward of that specific speciality for at least a day.
The LEIKO Unit is located in the hospital’s P floor, next to the Operating and Anaesthesia Unit. The entrance to the unit is located on the western side of the hospital, in other words, on the opposite side of the building to where the main entrance and the emergency entrance are located. Patients arriving for day surgery also use this route.
