Speech therapy involves medical rehabilitation and examinations. Speech therapy examinations are mainly conducted in specialised medical care and used to draw up a rehabilitation plan. In most cases, the recommended speech therapy takes place in basic health care or on the basis of a financial commitment.

 
Speech therapists see patients based on a referral from the treating physician at Hyvinkää Hospital. In the main, appointments are booked for weekdays between 8.00 a.m and 3.00 p.m.
