The Labor Ward provides care for women in labor and newborn babies.

It also offers obstetrics emergency care, receives women in labor 24 hours a day, and examines and treats any complications of pregnancy.

 

The ward has family rooms, and all of its operations are governed by WHO and UNICEF's Baby Friendly Hospital Initiative.

Note! Due to the Coronavirus (Covid-19) epidemic visits are not allowed. One support person for an obstetric patient is allowed to join a normal childbirth delivery once labor has begun. It is not allowed to left the delivery room. The support person cannot be involved in the initial phase of childbirth, caesarean section or in the maternity wards after childbirth.

If you are about to give birth and you have either a suspected or confirmed coronavirus infection, or symptoms of a respiratory infection, please call us t. 09 471 82111 before you arrive to the hospital. Suspected or confirmed coronavirus infections and other symptoms of family members or other close relationships should also be reported. During coronavirus epidemic, you can not come to the hospital without prior notice.
