The Retinal Outpatient Clinic primarily examines and treats patients with non-surgical retinal diseases. Diabetic retinopathy and retinal circulatory disorders are treated at the Eye and Ear Hospital.
Patients suffering from wet age-related macular degneration form the single largest patient group. Thanks to intraocular injections, the treatment of these patients has significantly improved in recent years. Other typical diseases include other forms of retinal degenerations and dystrophies.
