Each year, HUS Comprehensive Cancer Center treats 21 000 patients, 8 000 of whom are new patients. The Cancer Center is the largest cancer treatment center in Finland, and offers top-class treatment and research.

The patient can, together with the referring doctor, choose Cancer Center as their treatment location for specialist medical care.

Outpatient Clinic
  • 28,000 cancer therapy treatments per year

Breast surgery

  • Early Phase Trial Unit, to investigate novel medicinal compounds that are early in their development process and have been administered to only few individuals, or are being administered to humans for the first time.

Palliative and psychosocial unit

Geriatric-Oncological Unit

  • Finland's only outpatient clinic specializing in the treatment of cancer in elderly people.
