Peijas Hospital Joint Emergency Department offers primary health care emergency services outside office hours for the residents of Vantaa and Kerava. The emergency department also treats surgical and internal medicine emergencies. The emergency department treats patients over 16 years of age with a sudden illness or injury. Primary health care emergency services also treat children.
All patients arriving to the emergency department are assessed to determine their need for treatment and medical urgency. Then they are either treated at the emergency department or instructed to contact the appropriate service during office hours. Patients are treated in the order of their medical urgency. This is why, unfortunately, you may have to wait for your turn.
