Medical Imaging and Physiology

Patients need a referral from a physician for all examinations performed at HUS Medical Imaging Center. Examinations are not performed if based on a referral from a private physician.

The treating doctor informs of the results of the examination.

Patients from basic health care and specialised medical care can choose freely which X-ray unit they visit for general radiography (bone and chest X-rays). An appointment is not necessary for the examination. More information

Other examinations require an appointment. The unit treating the patient makes the appointment for the examination and notifies the patient by mail or instructs the patient on how to make an appointment.
