Psychiatric Ward A17 offers specialized child psychiatric ward to a child and his/her family in cases where more intensive treatment is needed in addition to outpatient care. Treatment is planned in cooperation with the patient and the family, taking into account the individual needs of the child and the family. Treatment is coordinated with other people involved in the everyday life of the child and the family. The ward is open from Monday till Friday around the clock. Own staff members are assigned for the family.
The staff consists of doctors, nurse manager, psychologist, occupational therapist, nurses and youth instructor.
School
While in inpatient care, the child attends Sophie Mannerheim hospital school. During the ward treatment collaborate closely the child’s own school.
