Children and young people with cardiac defects are treated at Ward K4. They are summoned to cardiac surgery or catheterization from a waiting list covering the whole of Finland. Additionally, some emergency cases are admitted to the ward. The ward has 14 beds, six of which are reserved for intermediate care.
