Visiting hours

Visiting hours differ on different wards, but the main principle is that parents and other close friends and relatives of the patient can stay in the hospital with the child as much as they can or want to. Limitations to the visiting hours are mainly due to lack of space and/or the treatment schedule. Do not visit a hospital if you have an infectious disease (e.g. intestinal or respiratory tract infection). Staff is there to answer questions if you are unsure about the infections.

On most wards, one of the parents can stay overnight in the hospital room with the child if necessary. However, it is not possible on all wards and in every situation. If you wish to stay overnight, discuss it with the personnel.
