Comprehensive Cancer Center’s Patient Advisory Board

​The Comprehensive Cancer Center has had a Patient Advisory Board since 2016. The Patient Advisory Board helps, brainstorms, and supports the planning, development and evaluation of services and functions in the Comprehensive Cancer Center as an equal partner with the treatment staff.

The members of the Patient Advisory Board are Comprehensive Cancer Center’s previous or current adult patients with different cancers, and/or their loved ones. The customer panel meets 11 times a year and it consists of 12 members.
 
Goals of the Patient Advisory Board
The goal of the Patient Advisory Board is that the opinions, evaluations, experiences, viewpoints, and ideas of the patients are taken into account in the Comprehensive Cancer Center in an organized and complete manner when planning functions and services.
 
Would you like participate in the Patient Advisory Board?
Members of the Patient Advisory Board are chosen for two years at a time. The Patient Advisory Board has a chairperson, a vice-chair, and a secretary. They are chosen for a year at a time in the first meeting of the autumn. New members are trained to the task.
